Sometimes, after a cleansing rain, we see the unspoken promise of a fresh new beginning in the form of a perfect rainbow.
The sight can sometimes stop us in our tracks, or cause us to reflect on the beauty in our world - it always makes us smile.
Nova Scotia's own Louisa Manuel has titled her latest CD "Catch A Rainbow" This recording is a blend of fresh new
country tunes and Louisa's upbeat and energetic vocal style. It will make you smile!
Louisa is finally ready to show you what she is made of. And she's all heart.
While this new project is Louisa Manuel's first full length recording, make no mistake about it -- she is a seasoned professional
with impressive credentials. Like most artists dedicated to their craft, Louisa began her singing career as a youngster, performing
wherever and whenever she could. Over time, Louisa developed both her vocal and presentation skills, eventually bringing together
a group of the area's finest musicians to form the Louisiana Band. Louisa and the band toured extensively throughout Eastern
Canada
In 1992, Louisa reached a national audience with a 4 song CD, recorded and produced by Randall Prescott. Louisa charted
nationally with the title track, "I Don't Think I Love You" and her video "Only Memories" received airplay
on TNN in the United States. Her second video "Boy Oh Boy Girl" attained coast to coast exposure on CMT. The single
was a radio favorite.
Louisa has by recognized by her peers with numerous musical award nominations, has performed prestigious showcases such
as CCMA and ECMA, has been invited to perform with the Huron Carole, and has shared the stage with many world class artists
- most recently Billy Ray Cyrus.
The first single from "Falling In Love" received national airplay and Louisa has followed that up with her current
single "Where Only Eagles Fly".. 2001 saw Louisa showcase for Nova Scotia Music Week and receive a featured performance
at The Rebecca Cohn's "A Night To Remember".
Louisa is currently preparing for a summer tour. She is particularly excited about The Stan Rogers Festival where she
shares the stage with Prairie Oyster, Sue Medley and Jason McCoy.
